INVITATION TO BID FOR CONSULTANCY

Save the Children International (SCI) Somalia program hereby invites interested consultants to bid for the consultancy assignment detailed below

1 Title of Consultancy Terms of Reference for Developing Entrepreneurships Training Curriculum
2 SCI Contracting Office Save the Children, GAROWE
3 Period of Consultancy DAYS; STARTING FROM 10TH – 23TH DEC 2020
4 Consultant type required BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND FIRM CAN APPLY FOR THE CONSULTANCY
5 Responsibility for Logistics arrangements and Costs THE CONSULTANT WILL CATER FOR ALL LOGISTICAL ARRANGEMENTS BY HIM/HER SELF
6 Taxation Provisions Consultant shall be responsible for all Taxes arising from the consultancy in line with the local Tax regulations applicable at the SCI contracting office named above
7 Travel requirements The consultant should be able to report to the duty station (Garowe -PL) to conduct a trainig for SCI WASH technical staff
8 Security requirements Consultant will comply with standard Save the Children Security procedures, including the completion of SCI online security training prior to travel to Somalia
9 Qualification and Experience The measurable qualifications and experience required:

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum development or MBA with 8 years of experience.
  • University degree in business administration with at least 10 years of teaching experience years instead of Master’s Degree.
  • At least 5 years of proven track record of developing training guidelines, training manuals, strategies, or policies related to business management.
  • Strong background and knowledge of entrepreneurship/business management
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Have the ability to deliver quality products
  • Computer literate
10 Evaluation Criteria Indicate the criteria for evaluation

  • Advanced degree in Curriculum development, MBA and related fields with more 8 years of progressive experience
  • Extensive knowledge and solid professional experience in developing Curriculum for education projects proven track record of developing training guidelines, training manuals, strategies, or policies related to business management.
  • Strong background and knowledge of entrepreneurship/business management
11 Application Procedure Interested consultants should submit their applications via email to [puntland.supplychain@savethechildren.org ]The applications should be submitted in PDF format as one document comprising Technical and Financial sections as detailed below.

a)      Technical proposal – including but not limited to

·       Consultants understanding of the assignment and context

·       Approach to the assignment

·       Methodology

·       Tools

·       Deliverables

·       Workplan

·       Key staff biodata

 

b)     Financial proposal – providing a breakdown of all charges related to the assignment.

Applicants should also indicate the date they are available to start working on the consultancy

All applications MUST be submitted on or before the closing date below to be considered for the assignment.
12 Closing date for Applications Interested consultants shall submit their applications through the email address provided above on or before 23rd December 2020.Shortlisted candidates will be requested for an interview.
13 Terms of Reference (ToR) Complete ToR with details appended below attached herewith as    Annex 1.
