TENDER NOTICE: PROCUREMENT OF COVID19 SCHOOLS PROTECTIVE SUPPLIES –

PROCUREMENT OF COVID19 SCHOOLS PROTECTIVE SUPPLIES.

 

Background

In August 2018, the Federal Government of Somalia’s application for an Education Sector Program Implementation Grant (ESPIG) was approved by the GPE Board of Directors for a three-year implementation period. One of the key component of the education sector implementation grant is to realize increased equitable access to quality primary education for out-of-school children. To achieve this component, the project will focus on school capitation grant with a target of 690 schools in four Federal Member States (South West, Juballand, Hirshabelle and Galmudug state) plus Banaadir Region. Other components of the project are also to realize enhanced quality of primary education to ensure grade appropriate learning, enhanced capacity at Federal and Member State levels to manage, monitor and regulate the education sector, and program management, accountability and communication.

As part of the ESPIG component 2, to improve schools’ hygiene and enhancing the children’s safety while schools are reopening and during this COVD19 pandemic situation, CARE is purchasing ESPIG-COVID19 emergence responses protective supplies for all targeted school in all locations. With this Donor funding support, Care international in Somalia is hereby inviting all interested eligible bidders with previous experience and capacity to undertake provision of COVID19 Personal protective supplies and other relevant materials. CARE will provide details of the supplies in the tender bid documents. The bid document can be requested by the email sombids@care.org  and each supplier is eligible to request one LOT mentioning in the subject line.

The criteria parameters to be used for assessment will be as indicated at the tender specification document. CARE International reserves the right to accept or reject any application either in whole or in part without giving reasons for either rejection or acceptance.

Bid document can be requested from 14th -22nd-July 2020 from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The bid response deadline will be on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020 16:30. No tender documents will be accepted after the bid submission deadline.
