ToR for Professional Videographer/ Production Company

Shaqodoon is a local NGO founded in 2011 to create innovative and long-lasting solutions to Somalia/Somaliland youth employment challenges. The organization designs deliver and evaluate innovative programs to address some of the local communities’ most urgent challenges in livelihood skill training, education, and health.

Shaqodoon is looking for a Professional Videographer/Production, who’ll be performing a short-term promotional/ Yearly Awareness for Hargabits Academy 2021 Intake.

Videography/Production Purpose and Objective

Produce promotional and Awarness video footage emphasizing on the impact of Hargabits Academy 2019 alumni

Reporting (15 selected photos and one promotional video 1.5-2 minutes long)

To Recruit for 2021 batch and showcase the impact of Hargabits Academy and share beneficiaries’ stories

Specific Deliverables for Photographer/Videographer

Deliver at least 15 photos’ on selected interviewees in work-place & Hargabits staff

Record and submit 1.5-2 minutes video of 2019 alumni to showcase impact & create awareness for Hargabits 2021 recruitment.

Observational shots of people conveying action ‘’in work-place’’

A mix of landscape/portrait orientation

Striking images of beneficiaries in their day to day work

Show the situation but ensure people are represented with dignity & ethical boundaries are observed.

Captions should be included with all Videos/photographs. These should include the names and ages of people photographed, and a brief description of the activity that has been captured.

Images should be provided to Shaqodoon as jpeg files saved images should be saved at the lowest compression and at a minimum file size of 5-10MB. Do not rename image files; keep the filenames assigned by the camera.

Videography Proposed Methodology

Work together with Hargabits Academy Management and staff

Visit 2019 Hargabits alumni

Interview the beneficiaries/ youth who’ve been trained 2019 (collect info on the no# of

students who’ve

gone into employment/consultancy or established business)

Pick & Interview at least five students from 2019 alumni for the promotional video

(Interviewees

should mix of genders)

Film selected people (5) in their daily job or work

Profile of the Consultant

Qualification & Experience

Qualified Videographer & Motion from a recognized institution

Extensive experience in videography especially in communication & filming o Extensive experience of delivering similar job in Somaliland.

Excellent Videographer who is creative with excellent directing skills

Familiarity with the Somaliland context
