INVITATION FOR TENDER PRE-QUALIFICATION OF LOCAL TRANSPORTERS FOR INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL TRANSPORTATION FOR DIFFERENT REGIONS IN SOMALIA

NIS Foundation is implementing Initiative for Stabilization Transition and National Development (I-STAND) Program that aims to support the implementation of government policies across a range of sectors, all working in different ways to achieve greater stability and better prospects for the country’s longer-term development goals. These stabilisation initiatives aim at contributing toward a more inclusive post-conflict society which sees the value of diversity and gender equality.

NIS is looking for qualified transporters for transporting solar equipment from overseas, and within Somalia through inland transport and airlifting. all interested transporters are hereby invited to participate in the pre-qualification process.

All interested transporters participating in this prequalification process are required to meet the following minimum set conditions and standards: – • License: Possess a valid registration or operating license, permits from designated government bodies/authorities such as the Ministry of commerce and industry and Ministry of transport and civil aviation Somalia. • Company profile presents a documented evidence of experience indicating the company has undertaken works of similar nature for the past 3-5 years (attach at least five previous contracts) • Possess necessary resources, human and material, and ability to mobilize such a resource at short notice to undertake project work. • Company Finances: presents a dully signed statement confirming that the company is financially in good position and able to pre-finance project work as this is necessary. • All eligible transporters are required to send all the above documents including company profiles to NIS Foundation latest 14:00 hrs.
